
Jared Gossett, CGB, CFA, Co-Owner
| Jared is the company's co-owner and jointly oversees the strategy and operations. Prior to to co-founding Gossett Jones Homes Jared worked as a Vice President for Realty Capital Partners, a real estate investment company in Dallas. Jared was responsible for analyzing and structuring new investments and for managing a portfolio of properties across the country ranging from high-end condo tower developments to hotels and apartments. Before joining Realty Capital Partners Jared worked as an analyst for Bank of America’s Global Corporate Investment Bank. Jared graduated magna cum laude with a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University, and received a Master of Accounting from The Ohio State University. Jared holds a CFA charter from his previous days in private equity and finance and the Certified Graduate Builder designation from the National Association of Home Builders. | ![]() |
Matt Jones, Co-Owner
| Matt, an Austin native, is the company's co-owner and joint oversees the strategy and operations. Prior to co-founding Gossett Jones Homes Matt worked for StarVision Sports, LLC, which organized and hosted national youth basketball tournaments in Las Vegas. Matt helped the company obtain national recognition in less than a year after formation. The company rivaled other great names in the tournament industry, including Nike, Adidas, and Reebok. Previously, Matt held positions with commercial real estate development firms Pohl, Brown, and Associates and Oxford Commercial. Matt has a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from Texas Christian University. | ![]() |
Brian Winburne, Director of Construction
| Brian is responsible the construction of our homes and oversees a team of Project Managers that perform the day-to-day construction operations for the company. He manages the project budgets and maintains strong relationships with our trade partners. He has more than 13 years of experience managing all aspects of residential construction projects. He began his career with a large Austin home builder, where he started as a Field Supervisor. Brian oversaw the construction of several subdivisions before he was promoted to Area Project Manager with management responsibilities over the entire Austin metro area. Julie Jones, Director of Accounting & Administration
| Julie is responsible for the company’s finance and administration. Prior to joining Gossett Jones Homes, Julie was a Practice Manager at Schurig Jetel Beckett Tackett, an international estate planning law firm in Austin that managed the assets of high net worth individuals. While at SJBT she managed the accounting and tax reporting practices. In this role she was in charge of the development and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures for foreign and domestic trusts and entities. Before working at SJBT Julie formed Julie R. Jones Company, an accounting service that provided bookkeeping and tax services to small, independently-owned companies. Julie worked in oil and gas accounting prior to staying home to raise her family and forming her own company. She graduated from Southern Methodist University where she earned a B.B.A. in Accounting. | ![]() |
Tara Kaminski, Purchasing & Selections Manager
| Tara manages the purchasing process for the company and also guides our clients with their selections and finish-out decisions. Tara also has expertise in architectural design and assists with floor plans and layouts during the design phase. Tara graduated from the Art Institute with a B.F.A. in Interior Design. | ![]() |
Chad Welch, Project Manager
| Chad manages the construction of our new homes. He is responsible for overseeing all trade partners and vendors, and ensuring our homes are built to high standards. Chad has worked in the construction industry for more than twelve years. He learned the industry from one of Austin's top residential home framers. He later began work for a large production builder, learning the entire home building process and earning multiple quality and customer service awards along the way. |
Peter Pevoto, Marketing & Public Relations Manager
| Peter, an Austin native, oversees the company's marketing efforts. He is responsible for the company's branding and outreach initiatives, as well as establishing and maintaining our marketing media such as the company's website, which recently won a Max Award for Best Website. Prior to joining our team, Peter led the marketing for StarVision Sports, LLC. Peter has a background in film, and has also worked in video production for local businesses and events, including SXSW. Peter Graduated with Honors from New York University's Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. | ![]() |
Kristi LaRue, Office Manager
| Kristi's responsibilities include accounting support, overseeing special projects, and providing assistance to our team members in the field. Prior to joining Gossett Jones Homes Kristi worked as the Office Manager for LaRue Architects. Previously, Kristi had a 17-year career as an Environmental Geologist. Kristi graduated from the University of Texas with a Geology degree. Kristi began her career at Kilgore Junior College where she was a member of the famed Kilgore Rangerettes. | ![]() |
Anastasia Curtis, Office Manager
| As one of our two Office Managers, Anastasia wears many hats. Her responsibilities range from purchasing and accounting support to managing office matters. Anastasia is a Professional Engineer by trade, and worked for many years as a design engineer and project manager. Her technical background and experience as a project manager help in her role as Office Manager. Anastasia attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where she received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She continued her education at Santa Clara University, earning a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. |
